Starch Europe Conference 2022

11 October 2022 at 16:00-18:00

Making the EU Food Supply Chain more Sustainable; the current and future role of EU starch producers

After a two-year hiatus, Starch Europe is pleased to be holding its yearly conference in person again this year.
We are therefore pleased to invite you personally to our event, which will take place on Tuesday 11 October 2022 at 16:00.

Discussions this year will focus on Sustainability, and how European starch producers can continue to contribute ever more, both in climate change mitigation terms and in terms of overall food system sustainability.

Sustainability, in a holistic sense, remains a keyword for Starch producers, and an area where progress never stops.

Sustainability in climate terms, first, as we published the results of our latest sector-wide LCA study earlier this year, and prepare to publish a decarbonisation roadmap for our industry.

Sustainability also in broader terms, as our industry is and remains an essential partner and contributor to the sustainability of our customers, through the very function of many of our ingredients. This includes as a pioneer in the EU Bioeconomy, where starch biorefineries play a major role and have for decades.

In the current unprecedented times with energy prices at historic highs, and strained raw material supplies, our speakers will also exchange views and ideas on the difficulties faced by the entire agri-food supply chain.

To join us for this fascinating discussion, please register using the form at the bottom of this page.
